On the 24 March, two teams of eight students competed in the Da Vinci competition at The Armidale School. The Da Vinci competition is an academic decathlon in which students compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy. Our Year 9 team came first in the Mathematics section and our Year 10 team came first in code breaking. Both teams are to be commended for their effort and achievements. They were up against stiff competition from schools such as Calrossy and NEGS. There were more than 15 teams competing. Special thanks to Mr Steve Wallace for volunteering to drive the school bus to and from Armidale.
