Mock Trial success

On Tuesday 23rd July 2019, the Coonabarabran High School mock trial team travelled to Scone to compete in the first elimination round against St Joseph’s College Lochinvar. Acting for the defendant in an online dating fraud case, the team of Annabelle Shannon, Hannah Meier, Mikayla Marr, Melinda Ryan, Tashani Clarke, and Molly Shannon prepared for the trial over a number of weeks and conducted all elements of the trial including witnesses giving evidence, Court staff fulfilling their legal functions, and the Barristers and Solicitors arguing the case. The Coonabarabran High School team ultimately was successful in the trial and is now in the top 32 teams in the statewide competition.
