On Monday, Coonabarabran High School hosted a team of scientists and mathematicians from the UNSW Outreach Program. They provided 3 activities for students to participate in – the digital planetarium was set up in the hall, and there was also a chemistry and mathematics workshop.
All our junior students were allocated a time slot to attend at least one activity. All the activities were engaging and practical and were very well received.
This was the first of two major activities that will be held as part of the CHS ‘Feast of Pi’ annual event. The next one will be held next Friday August 9 when we host the discovery bus from UNE.
Unfortunately, the annual Feast of Pi dinner has had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
