Year 7 HSIE Artefact Activity

At the start of Term 1, Year 7 HSIE completed at unit called “Introducing History”. The unit is designed to equip students with the foundation skills of History, such as creating timelines and analysing a source.

The students wrapped up their study in Week 4 with a fantastic activity in the hall, where students were able to engage with physical sources to further their understanding. Some examples include cassette tapes, retro toy cars, turn of the century wedding photos, and 1970s board games. The students had both insightful and comical ideas that were shared with the group. The afternoon was enjoyed by all. Special thanks to the staff who attended, and in particular, Ms Meyers for providing the majority of the artefacts used by students.
